A conversation with Alice Cabaret
A conversation about our interests in Cloudfulness, creative urban practice and Alice Cabaret’s impressions of the project.
On Wednesday 13 May, we spoke with Alice Cabaret, a French urban strategist who helped create The Street Society. The Paris-based creative urban strategy agency works to bring new life to underused buildings, neighbourhoods and public spaces through research, spatial activation, adaptive reuse and collaborative design.
Our discussion explored what interested us in Cloudfulness and what we hoped the project might become. Alice shared examples from her own work, which brings designers, artists, researchers and communities into the transformation of spaces, and offered her impressions of the installation.
The conversation helped us place the project within a wider question: how the character of a space can invite people to participate, relate to one another and form their own experience within it.
